Magical experience for CIS Music Festival participants
  • Student-musicians at festival

On Saturday, April 13th, a talented group of 16 of Trinity College School’s Junior and Senior School music students stepped onto the stage at Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto to perform at the 37th annual CISMF – Conference of Independent Schools Music Festival.

Last November, these students took part in a highly competitive audition process to be selected for this prestigious festival. CISMF brings together over 1,300 musicians from 39 of the 44 CIS Ontario schools.

Their performance on Saturday results from three intensive days of rehearsals – one in February and two full days leading up to the concert. It is an unforgettable afternoon that reminds us of the power of music education to bring our school communities together towards a common goal. CISMF gives students the opportunity to take their musicianship to new levels of creativity and expression, participating in the joy of performance with other like-minded students. There is nothing like stepping onto the stage of Roy Thomson Hall for the first time. It’s a magical place where all our students shine!

Bravo to our 2024 CISMF musicians for their hours of dedicated individual practice, perseverance through challenging music and commitment to excellence. You have represented our school in front of a sold-out crowd at Roy Thomson Hall. Congratulations on this exceptional achievement, and may you treasure these wonderful moments forever. We are so very proud of you! We can’t wait until next year!
